Toronto day trips | Toronto, ON

Winter is a magical time in Toronto. The snow falls, the cold weather allows us to bundle up in cozy sweaters, and there are so many ways to enjoy some winter fun — but sometimes, you just have to get out of the city to truly appreciate it. If you’re looking for things to do this winter, keep these fun winter day trips near Toronto in mind.

Escape to a spa at Blue Mountain. Rejuvenate and relax this holiday season at Scandinave Spa. This spa is known for its Scandinavian Baths, heated outdoor pools that allow you to take in the beauty of the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Niagara Escarpment. The spa has strict protocols in place to ensure your experience is relaxing as possible, and it is only two hours outside of the city.

Enjoy the beauty of the Crawford Lake Conservation Area. Just one hour outside of Toronto is the Crawford Lake Conservation Area, which is the perfect setting for a winter hike. You must check out its meromictic lake,  a rare type of lake that has layers of waters that don’t intermix, giving it a unique appearance. It also has a 1.4 km boardwalk throughout its beautiful natural scenery, making it a fantastic place for a winter stroll.

See what it’s like behind Niagara Falls. Niagara Falls is only 1.5 hours away from Toronto, which makes it an ideal day trip. Experience what it’s like behind the falls themselves with the Journey Behind the Falls experience. You will get the opportunity to venture 125 feet down into 130-year-old tunnels for an up-close view of the waterfall.

Remember to stay safe as you travel outside Toronto this winter, and be sure to visit Downtown Chrysler Dodge Jeep® Ram for service before you leave.
